Teledyne Marine is pleased to announce that, Teledyne Benthos, a pioneer in underwater communication technology, has been awarded a $975,000 grant from the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) to advance on-demand, or ropeless, fishing technology.
Ropeless fishing provides lobster and crab fisheries a means to recover fishing gear remotely, through subsea acoustic communication, thus reducing, or removing, the need for ropes, lines, and surface buoys.
