Neighbourhood watch programmes play a fundamental role in community safety. They act as the first line of defence in deterring crime and reporting suspicious activity. However, these programmes are not all that the community needs.
Most neighbourhood residents don’t have the time or desire to remain home all day reporting potential nefarious sightings. They go to work or school, attend appointments, run errands and go on vacations, leaving ample opportunity for crime to strike.
