AMG Systems, the British manufacturer of sophisticated Megapixel cameras and CCTV transmission technology announces that all their 5 Megapixel 360 degrees cameras are now ONVIF compliant. Since joining the Open Network Video Interface Forum (ONVIF), AMG has focused its efforts on fulfilling the ONVIF standard and the result is that the entire range comprising the much acclaimed Panocam360, TotemCam360, mini TotemCam - PaNVR360 – and SmokeCam360 are now compliant.
David J Myers, CTO at AMG Group said, “We took a large step towards ONVIF compliance when we facilitated the integration with the Milestone platform in November 2012. Since then, we have been focused on ensuring that we meet all the criteria, and I am happy to announce that the entire AMG-Panogenics’ camera range is now fully ONVIF compliant. Our cameras streams up to 12.5 frames per second and the on-board de-warping reduces the processing requirement back in the control room. Offering up to 14 de-warped video streams/independent camera views simultaneously alongside the full-resolution fish-eye view makes our cameras the most powerful and versatile 360 degree camera range available. It provides complete awareness with no blind spots from a single camera. The camera range is completely developed and manufactured in the UK and works on an open software platform, which makes it very easy to integrate, and the SDK we provide facilitates de-warping and enables electronic-PTZ playback. Our cameras are obviously part of a complete solution with network video recorders, software, and additional network infrastructure hence, our product development and design cycle, is strongly focused on the compatibility of our products with our technology partners’ products. ONVIF compliance is a great step to further facilitating this process.”
