British Security Industry Association’s first exhibition at Counter Terror Expo successful
The delegates at the Expo debated how the nation can best provide cutting-edge security for international events

The British Security Industry Association (BSIA) has exhibited at the Counter Terror Expo event for the first time.

The event, which took place on 14th and 15th April at Olympia in London, brought together the world's leading experts on counter-terrorism and provided delegates with the opportunity to view first-hand some of the new technology developed to aid the fight against terrorism.

The exhibition included a series of workshops and conferences, which debated how the nation can best ensure a multi-lateral response to terrorism, tackle threat diversity, counter trans-national terrorism, deliver critical national infrastructure and provide cutting-edge security for high profile international events.

Delegates included representatives from the military, Government and police as well as manufacturers, installers and security managers from the private sector.

James Kelly, BSIA Chief Executive, comments: "The BSIA is pleased to have exhibited at this event for the first time. With the country under an ongoing threat of terrorism, it's imperative that the private security industry demonstrates its commitment to tackling terrorism and protecting the public."

"The BSIA takes its role within this very seriously and aims to demonstrate this through both our involvement with CONTEST - the Government's national counter-terror strategy - and also by engaging with end users at events such as this."
