HRH Prince Michael of Kent visits IFSEC Video Security exhibition
HRH Prince Michael showed an avid interest in Sony's industry leading HD camera range at IFSEC 2009
Senior Marketing Manager for Video Security, Simon Nash welcomed HRH Prince Michael of Kent to the Sony Professional stand at IFSEC last week, much to the delight of Sony staff.

His Royal Highness took a tour of their stand and showed an avid interest in brand new, industry leading HD camera range. These cameras were being displayed on the stand itself, and Simon Nash was able to easily explain the concepts and pioneering technology that supports each one.

Prince Michael was also keen to hear about our DEPA intelligent cameras and recording devices, and these products were demonstrated to him as he walked around the stand, followed closely by an entourage of four bodyguards and his own royal and press representatives.

As a patron of the British Security Industry Association (BSIA), Prince Michael was visiting IFSEC to liaise with members of the BSIA and overseas buyers - an area he is keen to represent. He was pleased when Simon Nash explained how Sony has an excellent relationship with EMEA region, and continues to build strong business relationships in the Middle East.

"It was very exciting to have a royal guest on our stand," Simon Nash recalled. "He was very interested to see what we were doing this year, and seemed very impressed with our featured products."

Prince Michael's visit reinforced the message that security is certainly an ever-present and important global market segment, and Sony is seen as a role model and a leader in this industry.

"Our new HD cameras are set to revolutionise video monitoring across our regions," added Simon Nash, "And Prince Michael's positive reaction to our stand is a great indication of just how well Sony products are received within the industry."
