Exacq Technologies, a leading manufacturer of video management system (VMS) software and servers used for video surveillance, has announced a new integration with PlateSmart Technologies, a license plate recognition (LPR) software-only solution.
The PlateSmart software can be easily integrated into any exacqVision system. Operating on a Microsoft Windows platform, the PlateSmart software is compatible with a variety of analogue and IP security cameras. Once the PlateSmart software is connected to the camera and exacqVision system, it continually searches for license plates. The recognised license plate goes through the analytics, the metadata is sent to the exacqVision server and the plate information is then shown in the exacqVision VMS software.
