The compact 515R1 Card Cage Rack provides high-density racking for Fiber Options fiber-optic module. It is designed to mount in standard 483mm instrument rack. Fiber Options rack cards come in module widths of 1, 2, or 3 inches, and the 515R1 can accommodate the equivalent of 15 1-inch modules. The 515R1 is supplied with the 515PS1 power supply, which is designed to supply power to a full 515R1 Card Cage Rack. It has a maximum output of 6.0A. A fiber-fail alarm is also built into the power supply, which is functional when the rack contains receiver units with the alarm feature. The alarm activates a buzzer built into the power supply. The built-in buzzer may be disabled with the MUTE switch mounted on the front of the power supply.

The compact 517R1 Card Cage Rack provides high density racking for Fiber Options fiber-optic modules. It is designed to mount in standard 48.3 cm instrument racks. Fiber Options rack cards come in module widths of 1, 2, or 3inches, and the 517R1 can accommodate the equivalent 17 1-inch modules. The 517R1 is designed to be powered by either the 515PS1 internal power supply or the 517EPS external power supply. The 515PS1 occupies two rack slots, while the 517EPS is housed in a standard 19-inch rack mount housing that is 2 rack units high. One 517EPS can support two full 517R1 racks.

The S711D multimode link and S7711D single-mode link handle all major data formats in both directions, including SensorNet. For any data format changes, reconfigure the S711D or S7711D. SMART technology for this model provides more diagnostic functions. Integrity of data paths can be tested with a built-in data transmission test pattern generator. The S711D and S7711D also feature the very valuable data translation function that allows input of one data format and output of a different format.

Fiber Options' S709V16 Video Multiplexer System transmits multiple full-frame, real-time video signals over one fiber. The 16-Channel system accepts analog baseband inputs and converts them to digital format for transmission. The unit uses CWDM technology for maximum distance capability over a single multimode fiber.
