artec presents the MULTIEYE PrivacyShield - privacy and protection made easy

artec's PrivacyShield is a software module that - in combination with additional MULTIEYE features - guarantees privacy protected video surveillance. It caters to the need for the protection of privacy at workplaces or public areas. With the PrivacyShield module (for analog and IP cameras) moving objects like people and cars are scrambled through special filters in live display and live remote monitoring. Their movements remain recognizable. Certain camera image areas in which people have to be displayed anonymised can be individually masked by a 2304-piece grid; the unmasked area remains unaffected. With integrated video evaluation functionalities and setting parameters different image qualities of the analogue/IP cameras and changes in the image like rain, snow, shadow and oscillation of the camera through wind can be compensated.Video recording happens without filtering (focused) so a person's identity can be discovered ex post. Access to the recorded videos is secured by several steps:Four eyes principleUser authorizationMULTIEYE Shell license (optional)With additional measures MULTIEYE systems can be converted privacy protection compliant. This includes the blackening out of privacy areas in the camera image area through private zone masking as well as the limiting of recording in days.Existing MULTIEYE systems can easily be upgraded. An exchange of analog or IP cameras is not necessary. The small CPU utilization allows for up to 8 channels of PrivacyShield per recorder.

Top issue: Remote monitor recording with MULTIEYE®

The increasingly intensive discussion about an enhancement of the burden proof concerning transactions in banks, at brokers and security companies as well as the increasing requirements of companies of being able to record  correct and legally compliant actions if necessary, create an enormous demand for monitor recording systems.artec technologies AG provides a software, which has delivered an optimal performance in practice for many years and which is completely integrated into the video surveillance system MULTIEYE.Remote Monitor Recording stands for transmitting, displaying, recording and the replay of monitor signals, respectively display content by means of a network.MULTIEYE® recorders offer the possibility to transmit not only the signals of video cameras, but also those of PC displays via the network, e.g in control centres, at production systems, automated teller machines, diagnostic devices or from MULTIEYE® recorders. Thus allowing the tracking and documentation of operational processes, dialogues, handling and malfunctions. The DesktopLogger moduleTo process display signals of PC's in MULTIEYE® systems, the DesktopLogger module has been developed. The module consists of a client PC software and an activation licence for the MULTIEYE®-NET software or MULTIEYE®-NET recorders. The client software has to be installed on the PC to be monitored. With the activation licence one or more channels on the MULTIEYE® recorder are activated. The client software scans the displays with a sample rate of several images per second - without any influence on the PC - and transmits the images via the network to the  MULTIEYE® recorder. The images are processed by the MULTIEYE® recorder just as those from a network camera, i.e. with live display, recording and remote transmission. Motion Detection and Smart Search functions, such as MotionTrack and MotionSearch can be used, too.Surveillance of several displays on one PCThe DesktopLogger client software considers the number of connected displays at the PC, which has to be monitored as well as their individual display resolutions. Each display is processed as an individual channel in the MULTIEYE® system.Connection of displays by means of a VGA splitterIf there is no possibility to install the client software on the PCs, the VGA displays can be scanned with a VGA/analogue splitter and the signals can be sent analogue to the MULTIEYE®-HYBRID recorder. This is possible with a resolution of max. 800 x 600 pixels. If higher resolutions have to be recorded in real-time, artec technologies AG offers, additionally to MULTIEYE®, another recording and transmission system:  The XBL-Broadcast Logger system with VGA/DVI ports.Pure monitor recordingMULTIEYE® systems are also used for the pure display surveillance. - e.g. in he fields of further education or controlling of trade activities. One MULTIEYE® recorder can process up to 32 PC displays via the network; in combination with more recorders and the MULTIEYE® VideoCenter II a multitude of displays can be monitored and recorded.
