iCode's CCTV solution makes store managemet easy for Domino's Pizza
Domino's Pizzas franchises required CCTV for both the protection of the staff and business
Domino's Pizza operates over 600 franchised stores across the UK and Ireland. Each of these franchises required CCTV for both the protection of the staff and business.

The requirements

Domino's IT department was tasked with finding cost-effective CCTV, which could be rapidly deployed across all of the UK stores.

Each franchise system must be centrally accessible for live viewing and playback. Remote access for upgrades and administration is also required.

The solution must also support a wide range of cameras and sensors. Future requirements include temperature and humidity sensor support, to be used for additional management information, this sensor data must also be available remotely.

Jon Tibbit, Business Development Manager at iCode Systems Ltd said: "iCatcher's iDomain functionality makes multiple server installations a doddle. Connecting hundreds of CCTV servers together, allowing central head office remote viewing has never been easier."

The choice

After evaluating numerous mainstream solutions it was decided that iCatcher Console offered a professional robust solution with the required flexibility. iCatcher Console 4's wide range of supported cameras and devices made the decision easier, matching all of Domino's requirements.

The solution

Each store is fitted with several cameras, including PTZ domes, covering both the staff and customers. Future requirements in kitchen and food preparation areas are temperature and humidity sensors. The outputs from these sensors can be recorded and time stamped onto the camera overlays. Each store is fitted with its own server and fast Internet connection for sending alerts and images offsite. In the event of an out of hours break in, alerts can be triggered and sent to central monitoring stations or even direct to the manager's mobile phone.

Huw Edwards, Managing Director at iCode commented: "We are seeing more of the larger retailers choose, or convert, to iCatcher for their in-store CCTV." The inclusion of retail analytics in the standard product, and the low cost of ownership (with no enforced annual maintenance) make iCatcher the logical choice.

The result

So far, over 250 stores have implemented iCatcher and the results have been incredible. Several successful prosecutions have been made. Using iCatcher's integrated digital signature a user can prove, in a court of law, a recording has not been tampered with.

Due to iCatcher's intuitive design, creating evidence recordings for the police has never been easier. Using the easy to follow wizard any member of staff with administrator permission can create evidence CDs.

The iCatcher Alerting system provides instant management alerts for out-of-hours activity. Franchisees can login remotely from any PC or mobile phone. iCatcher Pro, the iCatcher iPhone App, provides access to sensor data and playback, with options for store automation.

Further future upgrades include utilising iCatcher Console's integrated support with access control, enabling deliveries to be logged with the CCTV images.
