Founded in 1892, Telford College of Arts and Technology is a further education college located on the outskirts of Wellington in Telford, Shropshire, United Kingdom. Telford College of Arts and Technology manages the Avigilon high-definition surveillance solution using the Avigilon Control Centre network video management software (NVMS) with High-Definition Stream Management (HDSM) technology. The college installed Avigilon high-definition cameras ranging from 2 MP to 8 MP in key areas. Telford College relies on Avigilon analogue video encoders to improve the performance of its existing analogue cameras. The college also installed an Avigilon Network Video Recorder (NVR) to store up to 14 days of continuous surveillance footage.

The Avigilon Control Centre software enables Telford College to cluster groups of views and pull them up in seconds for full coverage, zoom into crowded areas for greater detail to improve investigation success. Previously, a significant amount of security staff time would be used to investigate incidents—the Avigilon system has proven far more user-friendly and accelerated the process. Telford College can monitor events live and dispatch additional personnel as needed.
