JET Oil has installed IQinVision HD megapixel technology at 24 of its unmanned gasoline stations |
Each JET station is an automatic operation, so no staff are present. Three IQeye 702 cameras are strategically located at each JET station to protect on-site assets, provide surveillance to guard against customers tampering with pumping equipment, and to monitor buildings which house pump technical control equipment. The IQeye images are managed by Milestone open platform IP video recording software and each installation also includes HP hardware.
JET Oil chose IQeye technology due to the camera's excellent image quality even during relatively low-light conditions. JET staff were also pleased with the value delivered per IQeye unit price. Overall, JET Oil management has been very impressed with their video surveillance systems and report that they have experienced less damage at those stations equipped with the combined IQinVision-Milestone solution, compared to stations without video surveillance.
Based on project success to date, JET Oil plans to install the IQinVision-Milestone system in at least 8 more stations over the next few months and to explore connecting each site to a central remote monitoring centre. "We have seen a marked increase in our business with gasoline stations throughout Europe," said Ramon Grado, IQinVision EMEA Managing Director. "Our HD megapixel technology is paying off in terms of return on investment for our end users in preventing drive-aways and in protecting expensive assets. This application for unmanned stations is particularly attractive for gas station companies in Europe and around the world."
